New Forest & Hampshire County Show - 26th July 2022 - Event Report
For the final event of our Inter Hunt Relay season, Lottie Crocker, Georgette Green, Vicky Currer-Briggs and Nelson Baker travelled to the Brockenhurst Showground to represent Staff College Drag Hunt in the main ring.
The course was the most technical one the team had faced, with bending poles, a bridge and knock down rustic fences, but all the hours of training paid off with the team fighting off fierce competition in knock-out rounds to emerge victorious!
What a fantastic way to book-end our Inter Hunt Relay Season with a win at the Kenilworth Show and a win at the New Forest Show!
Thank you to chef d'equipe Hayley Sirett, to all our riders and also to the un-sung heros who attend these events on foot to support!

Festival Of Hunting - 20th July 2022 - Event Report
At the Festival Of Hunting it was time for our Junior Inter Hunt Relay Teams to strut their stuff!
Under the summer sun there was fierce competition with a huge 20 teams competing in the main ring with the competition composed of initial timed heats, followed by the fastest teams going through to the knock out rounds. Both Staff College Drag Hunt teams got off to a flying start with Team A and Team B both winning their heats and qualifying for the knock out stages.
Team A made up of Connor Kinrade (who rode twice), Emily-Rose Bowen & Millie Dethick fought their way through to the semi finals to come 7th overall. Team B made up of Hazel Magon-Bailey (who rode twice), Elspeth Minns and Katie-Ann Baker were knocked out in the second round on faults, even though they were the faster team.
A huge well done to all our junior riders and special thanks to Lottie Crocker for training the Junior teams and horsing most of the riders, and to Georgette & Duncan Green for going along to support and cheer them on!

Barbury International Horse Trials - 9th July 2022 - Event Report
For our third competition of the summer, we were very proud to send our Inter Hunt Relay team to compete at the prestigious Barbury International Horse Trials.
Due to last-minute sickness, we were only able to send three riders, with one rider going twice in each round. Our fabulous team of Vicky Currer-Briggs, Georgie Warden & Lottie Crocker took on a challenging course, which included a water splash, skinnies and a bank! Horses and riders fought off stiff competition in very hot conditions to come second in a very close contest.
Congratulations ladies, you have done us proud again!

South Of England Agricultural Show - 10th June 2022 - Event Report
Perfect weather conditions greeted the Staff College Inter Hunt Relay Teams on arrival at the Ardingly show ground - the recent rain meant the ground was perfect and the sun was shining without it being too warm! We fielded two teams for the qualifying heats on the Friday of the show.
Team A was made up of Vicky Currer-Briggs, Georgette Green, Buddy Frankham & Lottie Crocker
Team B was made up of Hayley Sirett, Stephen Hall, Nelson Baker & Rebecca Noone.
The course had fences used at the BE event - so riders jumped roll tops, brush fences, a treasure chest and a mini hedge fence! This course was designed to replicate things you might do out hunting, so there was also a 'bridge' that riders had to walk across and a dumb waiting holding a glass of 'port' (water in reality) that riders had to take a sip from.
Both teams rode in a round robin knock out and put in a fantastic performance, but were just pipped into 3rd place on timings.
Thanks so much to all the riders who took part, to Lottie Crocker for horsing several members of the team, to Hayley Sirett as chef d'equipe and to all those who came on foot to support - what a fantastic day!

Kenilworth Agricultural Show - 4th June 2022 - Event Report
On Saturday 4th June, a convoy of Staff College Drag Hunt lorries, trailers and cars full of polished and plaited horses, nervously excited riders and on-foot supporters made the journey to Warwickshire to take part in our first Inter Hunt Relay competition of the Summer.
Team A was made up of Nelson Baker, Vicky Currer-Briggs, Sarah Hayward & Jo Burdett.
Team B was made up of Hayley Sirett, Georgette Green, Lottie Crocker & Georgie Warden.
The course was a meaty BE-style arena eventing course, with roll tops, tables, brush fences and a show jump. In the first round, all the teams rode individually with the fastest 4 teams going through to knockout stages to decide the winner.
Team A put in a fantastic effort, but were just pipped to the knockout stages on timing, and came in a very respectable 5th place - well done Nelson, Vicky, Sarah & Jo!
Team B made it through to the knockout stages and put in two absolutely lightning rounds to fight off all the competition and WIN! Well done Hayley, Georgette, Lottie & Georgie!
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to both our fabulous Inter Hunt Relay Teams who represented Staff College Drag Hunt brilliantly and made us all so proud!
Thank you so much to all the riders and supporters for all your efforts & especially chef d’equipe Hayley Sirett who has been working behind the scenes to put together practice sessions & arrange entries.
